Housing crisis in the European Union with the aim of proposing solutions for decent, sustainable and affordable housing
Die Wohnungsfrage ist eine der zentralen sozialen Herausforderungen in Europa. Millionen Menschen leiden unter steigenden Mieten, Wohnungsknappheit und Energiearmut. Als Grüne setzen wir uns entschieden für mehr bezahlbaren Wohnraum, starken Mieterschutz, sozialen und gemeinnützigen Wohnungsbau und eine nachhaltige und energieeffiziente Transformation des Gebäudesektors ein. Der vorliegende Bericht enthält wichtige Ansätze zur Stärkung von sozialem und bezahlbarem Wohnraum, zur Bekämpfung von Obdachlosigkeit und zur besseren Nutzung europäischer Finanzierungsinstrumente. Das unterstützen wir ausdrücklich. Gleichzeitig fehlen viele wichtige Punkte im Bericht, wie stärkere Maßnahmen gegen Spekulation und eine größere Rolle öffentlicher und gemeinnütziger Wohnungsmodelle. Er enthält Formulierungen, die eine Abschwächung bestehender Klimaschutzstandards im Gebäudesektor darstellen würden. Bezahlbares Wohnen und Klimaschutz dürfen nicht gegeneinander ausgespielt werden. Energetische Sanierung und erneuerbare Energien im Gebäudebereich sind zentrale Instrumente, um langfristig Wohnkosten zu senken und Energiearmut zu bekämpfen. Wir unterstützen viele der sozialen Ziele des Berichts, insbesondere Maßnahmen für besseren Mieterschutz und vulnerable Gruppen sowie mehr bezahlbaren Wohnraum. Aber eine wirklich nachhaltige europäische Wohnpolitik muss deutlich weiter gehen, um die Wohnungskrise zu stoppen. Nette Worte reichen nicht, wenn dann dringend notwendige Maßnahmen aus dem Bericht gestrichen oder die Verantwortung auf die Mitgliedstaaten abgeschoben wird. Deshalb können wir dem Bericht in dieser Form nicht zustimmen.
