Liberalerna har en restriktiv syn på EU-lagstiftning på arbetsmarknadsområdet. Det finns situationer där sådan lagstiftning kan behövas, såsom i bekämpning av gränsöverskridande brottslighet relaterad till arbetsplatser, eller för att ställa minimikrav, vilket kan innefatta kollektivavtal, i upphandling för EU-finansierade projekt. Förslagen i sysselsättningsutskottets resolution i sin helhet var dock för långtgående, och Liberalerna valde därför att rösta nej till resolutionen.
The European Social Fund Plus post-2027
EU:s budget är ett viktigt verktyg för att finansiera reformer med tydligt europeiskt mervärde. Liberalerna anser att Europeiska socialfonden fyller en funktion för att värna minimirättigheter för alla medborgare i hela Europa. Liberalerna är däremot skeptiska mot att prioritera en ökning av finansieringen av socialfonden. Flera av de områden som betänkandet tar upp tillhör dessutom nationell behörighet och ska hanteras på rätt nivå. Liberalerna valde därför att rösta emot betänkandet i sin helhet.

Europaparlamentet röstade om tillsättningen av ett särskilt utskott för bostadskrisen i EU. Bostadspolitiken och åtgärder för att öka tillgången till bostäder är i huvudsak en fråga för medlemsländerna att hantera och frågorna kan redan i dag hanteras inom befintliga utskott. Liberalerna valde att stödja förslaget eftersom det var en del av en överenskommelse där inrättandet av ett särskilt utskott till försvar av demokratin, ett ständigt utskott för säkerhet och försvar och ett ständigt utskott för folkhälsa ingick, vilket Liberalerna ställer sig bakom.
