Implementation and delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals in view of the 2025 High-Level Political Forum

, SDGs) der Vereinten Nationen. Der ganzheitliche Ansatz der SDGs zur Nachhaltigkeit, welcher Aspekte wie Klimaschutz, Armutsbekämpfung, Bildung, bezahlbare und saubere Energie, Innovation und Wirtschaftswachstum aufgreift, wird von uns ausdrücklich unterstützt und bietet einen guten globalen Rahmen für nachhaltige Entwicklung. Allerdings enthält der Bericht auch problematische Punkte. Dazu gehören die Forderungen nach einem weitreichenden Verbot von PFAS-Chemikalien, sowie nach einer UN-Steuerkonvention und weiteren Reformen der internationalen Finanzarchitektur gemäß den Beschlüssen der Sevilla-Konferenz und der Bridgeton-Initiative. Diese setzen primär auf vorab zugesagte Finanzierungen und Schuldenerleichterungen, die marktwirtschaftliche Anreize, tatsächlich nachhaltige Reformen und Eigenverantwortung untergraben. In der Abwägung hat sich die FDP-Delegation im Europäischen Parlament enthalten.

Die FDP-Delegation im Europäischen Parlament erkennt einige gute Ansätze in der Parlamentsentschließung zur Empfehlung des Rates über rauchfreie Umgebungen an. Da dieses Thema aber Kompetenz der Mitgliedsstaaten ist, haben wir die Entschließung abgelehnt.
