Resolution on social and employment aspects of restructuring processes: the need to protect jobs and workers’ rights

Jotta Eurooppa pysyy mukana kansainvälisessä kilpailussa, meidän on investoitava vihreään ja digitaaliseen kaksoissiirtymään sekä luotava otolliset olosuhteet teolliselle tuotannolle Euroopassa. Rakennemuutosta tapahtuu väistämättä, ja olen iloinen, että Euroopan parlamentti tänään päätöslauselmassaan peräänkuulutti sosiaalista vastuuta sen vaikutusten lieventämiseksi erityisesti työntekijöiden kannalta. Päätöslauselma korostaa työehtosopimusjärjestelmän kunnioittamista, työntekijöiden tiedonsaantioikeutta ja yhteistyötä ammattiliittojen kanssa muutostilanteissa. Kun ammattirakenne muuttuu ja työpaikkoja syntyy uusille aloille, on lisäksi välttämätöntä kiinnittää huomiota elinikäiseen oppimiseen ja mahdollisuuksiin uudelleenkouluttautua – nykypäivänä harva jää eläkkeelle siitä ammatista, missä työuransa aloitti. Päätöslauselmassaan parlamentti lähetti tärkeän signaalin Euroopan komissiolle koskien tulevaa julkisten hankintojen direktiivin päivittämistä vaatimalla direktiivin sosiaalilausekkeen vahvistamista. Julkisissa hankinnoissa pitää voida suosia vastuullisia toimijoita, jotka hoitavat työnantajavelvoitteensa säntillisesti. On positiivista, että parlamentti myös ehdottaa puuttumista pitkiin alihankintaketjuihin.
