2023 and 2024 Commission reports on Ukraine
Ich habe aus folgenden Gründen gegen den Bericht gestimmt: Der Bericht ist eine Antwort des Parlaments auf die jährlichen Erweiterungsberichte der Kommission zur Ukraine (Jahre 2023 und 2024). Eigentlich sollte der Bericht ausschließlich die Fortschritte der Ukraine bei den EU-Beitrittsreformen bewerten. Solche Berichte beurteilen die Entwicklungen in den jeweiligen Kandidatenländern und geben Empfehlungen für die weitere Vorgehensweise. Leider wurde der hier zur Abstimmung gestellte Bericht dazu instrumentalisiert den Kriegsgelüsten und Waffenwünschen einiger Abgeordneter Rechnung zu tragen. Ich lasse mich nicht von anderen Abgeordneten für ihre gefährlichen Spielchen instrumentalisieren. Der Bericht priorisiert mit überwältigender Mehrheit die militärische Eskalation, die Waffenproduktion und die verteidigungsindustrielle Integration, während Forderungen nach einem sofortigen Waffenstillstand und sinnvollen Verhandlungen außer Acht gelassen werden. Der Beitritt der Ukraine zur EU gilt in diesem Dokument als selbstverständlich. Er fordert sogar eine beschleunigte Integration. Der Bericht geht weit über die Unterstützung der Reformen der Ukraine hinaus. Eine ernsthafte, ausgewogene parlamentarische Auseinandersetzung mit der Frage der Reformen der Ukraine und einem EU-Beitritt ist so nicht möglich gewesen.
