Ψήφισα υπέρ της έκθεσης για τη στρατηγική της ΕΕ για τα Δικαιώματα των Ατόμων με Αναπηρία 2021-2030. Η έκθεση αποτιμά την πρόοδο που έχει σημειωθεί και αναδεικνύει προτεραιότητες για το νέο πλαίσιο μετά το 2024, δεδομένων των συνεχιζόμενων εμποδίων στην ισότητα και την πλήρη ενσωμάτωση των ατόμων με αναπηρία. Πιστεύω ακράδαντα ότι χρειαζόμαστε μια ισχυρή ευρωπαϊκή στρατηγική για τα δικαιώματα των ατόμων με αναπηρία για την περίοδο μετά το 2024, ώστε να αντιμετωπιστούν οι τα εμπόδια που ακόμη υπάρχουν και να στηριχθεί ουσιαστικά η πλήρης συμμετοχής τους στην κοινωνική και οικονομική ζωή. Ωστόσο. ψήφισα κατά της παραγράφου που ζητά από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή τη θέσπιση οδηγίας για ελάχιστο εισόδημα, κάτι που δεν είναι εφικτό καθώς η αρμοδιότητα για τον καθορισμό τέτοιων παροχών ανήκει στα κράτη μέλη.

Ψηφίσαμε υπέρ. Η Έκθεση διατυπώνει νέους τρόπους για την εξασφάλιση προσιτής στέγασης για τους πολίτες της ΕΕ, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη πως οι τιμές των κατοικιών έχουν αυξηθεί κατά μέσο όρο κατά 48% σε ολόκληρη την Ευρωπαική Ένωση. Η Έκθεση τονίζει τον ρόλο των Ταμείων Συνοχής στην αντιμετώπιση της στεγαστικής κρίσης ενώ, αναγνωρίζει, επίσης, τον ρόλο της Ευρωπαικής Τράπεζας Επενδύσεων και των επενδύσεων από τον ιδιωτικό τομέα. Επιπλέον, περιλαμβάνει διάφορες προτάσεις με στόχο την πρόσβαση σε αξιοπρεπή, βιώσιμη και προσιτή στέγαση για όλους. Ωστόσο, ψήφισα κατά του Recital O που ζητά την εξαίρεση των στεγαστικών επενδύσεων από τους δημοσιονομικούς περιορισμούς. Μια τέτοια πρόταση υπονομεύει το Σύμφωνο Σταθερότητας και Ανάπτυξης, αποδυναμώνοντας τη δημοσιονομική πειθαρχία, και, εν τέλει, θέτοντας σε κίνδυνο τη μακροπρόθεσμη οικονομική σταθερότητα της Ευρωπαικής Ένωσης.
