Głosowałem za rezolucją dotyczącą powodzi w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej, ponieważ wierzę, że Unia Europejska opiera się na zasadach współpracy i solidarności, zwłaszcza w obliczu kryzysów. Projekt integracji europejskiej, który rozpoczęliśmy ponad 70 lat temu, zobowiązuje nas do wspólnego działania w takich trudnych chwilach. Rezolucja, którą poparłem, promuje potrzebne i uzasadnione postulaty inwestowania w naturalne i infrastrukturalne rozwiązania, które pomogą w przyszłości złagodzić skutki takich zjawisk jak powodzie. Kluczowe jest także, by wspierać finansowo regiony dotknięte katastrofami, co również znalazło się wśród postulatów tego dokumentu. Solidarność, zarówno w obszarze finansowym, jak i infrastrukturalnym, jest niezbędna, aby sprostać wyzwaniom, jakie przed nami stoją.
